About the Role

Adecco Canada is seeking a highly skilled Plant Engineer - Civil/Structural to join their team in Labrador City. As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing structural solutions for mining operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Structural Design: Design various structures related to mining operations, including Plant Assets, conveyor systems, storage facilities, and other infrastructure.
  • Project Planning & Management: Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to plan and execute mineral processing facility and mine operations projects efficiently.
  • Supervising Construction Projects: Oversee construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications.
  • Quality Control & Safety Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure the durability and safety of structures.
  • Maintenance and Rehabilitation: Assess existing structures and equipment for maintenance needs.
  • Project Reports and Site Investigation: Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and cost estimates.
Requirements
  • Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
  • Must be P.Eng.-certified
  • Experience in structural design for mining operations, including Plant Assets, conveyor systems, and storage facilities.
  • Proficiency in project planning and management, including developing schedules, resource allocation, and ensuring adherence to safety and environmental standards.
  • Ability to supervise construction projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications and addressing any modifications or challenges during construction.
  • Strong background in quality control and safety assurance, including conducting inspections, tests, and evaluations to verify compliance with engineering standards and prioritize safety protocols.
