We seek an Operations Center Process Engineer to bolster our Processing Technical Services team. Your responsibilities will encompass optimizing and enhancing processes for transforming and refining raw materials into finished products.

Reporting to the Superintendent of Processing Technical Services, your key responsibilities will include:
Serving as a safety and quality role model and a credible technical resource across the site Developing and implementing data-driven decision-making tools to enhance the value chain from mining operations to the delivery of the final product at port facilities Analyzing operational procedures, process data trends, and equipment unit operations to optimize processes and meet or exceed production targets Collaborating closely with processing plant Control Room Operators, operations, and maintenance teams to safely maximize production and quality Reporting precise operational data to ensure informed decisions are made throughout the value chainQualifications
To excel in this role, you will possess:
A Bachelor's Degree in Process Engineering or a related discipline Experience in an industrial setting, preferably within Iron Ore or Mineral Processing Leadership experience in a dynamic, highly technical environment where decisions are made to eliminate constraints and optimize processes A solid understanding of instrumentation and process control systems A strong commitment to safety Problem-solving skills to identify issues, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions for prompt corrective actions Previous experience with process control and in areas such as Autogenous Grinding, Gravity Separation, Magnetic Separation, Filtration, Flotation, Thickening, and Iron Ore Pelletizing will be considered advantageousBenefits

The Iron Ore Company of Canada (IOC) is a leading Canadian producer of iron ore concentrate and pellets, serving customers globally. The company operates a mine, concentrator, and pelletizing plant in Labrador City, Newfoundland and Labrador, along with port facilities in Sept-Îles, Quebec. Additionally, it manages a 418-kilometer railroad connecting the mine to the port.
