About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team at Amalgamated Dairies Limited. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production systems, including electrical systems, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical System Maintenance: Inspect, repair, and troubleshoot electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Safety Protocols: Enforce and promote safety standards, staying up-to-date on the latest safety protocols and procedures.
  • Project Management: Plan, execute, and oversee projects, including construction and repair work, to ensure timely completion and within budget.
  • Inventory Management: Manage parts inventory, receive and order parts, and manage invoicing processes.
  • Training and Development: Provide operational and safety training to staff as needed, ensuring they have the necessary skills to perform their duties safely and effectively.

Requirements:

  • Electrical Systems Experience: Proven experience in inspecting, repairing, and troubleshooting electrical systems.
  • Preventive Maintenance Knowledge: Thorough understanding of preventive maintenance practices and their application in a production environment.
  • Safety Standards: Strong knowledge of safety standards and policies, with the ability to enforce and promote them within the team.
  • Project Planning: Skills in project planning and execution, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Inventory Management: Ability to manage parts inventory and manage invoicing processes.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contractors.
