Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead our retirement residence operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the general management of our residence, delivering a superior living experience to our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction to our operations team, ensuring the smooth functioning of all departments.

  • Team Management: Lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous development.

  • Recruitment and Training: Develop and implement effective recruitment and training strategies to ensure exceptional service and resident care.

  • Financial Management: Oversee the financial performance of the residence, setting and monitoring targets for employee engagement, resident satisfaction, audits, occupancy rates, and net operating profit.

  • Customer Service: Build strong relationships with employees, residents, and their families, fostering open communication and continuous improvement.

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve operational goals, including sales and occupancy targets.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of five (5) years management experience, preferably in the seniors living industry, hotel, or hospitality-related industry.

  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management abilities, with a proven track record of achieving operational goals.

  • Operational Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of operational processes, including financial management and customer service.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees, residents, and stakeholders.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business administration or hospitality management.
