About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to lead the transportation operations of the Government of Canada - Central. As an Executive Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our trucking company, ensuring that our services are delivered efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our transportation operations.
  • Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to a team of middle managers, directors, and other executive staff to ensure that our organizational goals are met.
  • Financial Management: Establish and manage financial and administrative controls to ensure that our operations are financially sustainable.
  • Human Resources: Select and develop middle managers, directors, and other executive staff to ensure that our organization has the right people with the right skills to achieve our goals.
  • Communication: Represent the organization in negotiations and other official functions, and delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization as needed.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, logistics, or transportation.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in a leadership role in the trucking industry.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
  • Work Environment: This is a full-time position that requires working on-site at our physical location.
