The City of Kamloops is seeking dedicated individuals with a knack for resolving technical challenges and delivering exceptional customer service to become part of our IT department. The Technical Support Specialist role encompasses diagnosing a variety of IT-related issues for both internal and external stakeholders, in addition to providing assistance for hardware, software, network, and security systems.

Qualifications for Technical Support Specialist II ($46.931/hour):

  • Post-secondary diploma in information technology or related field
  • Microsoft certifications in Microsoft 365 or equivalent
  • Experience in managing Windows and iOS devices, IP LAN and Wi-Fi communication, DNS and DHCP, Active Directory, Office 365, Exchange Online, and more
  • Valid BC Driver's licence - Class 5
  • Capability to obtain and maintain an RCMP enhanced security clearance

Qualifications for Technical Support Specialist I ($40.247/hour):

  • Post-secondary diploma in information technology or related field
  • Experience in managing Windows and iOS devices, IP LAN and Wi-Fi communication, DNS and DHCP, Active Directory, Office 365, Exchange Online, and more
  • Capability to obtain and maintain an RCMP enhanced security clearance
  • Valid BC Driver's licence - Class 5
