Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Counsellor, Youth & Family I to join our team at Accoravillage, a leading provider of mental health services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing therapeutic support to children, youth, and families in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the unique needs of each client.
  • Provide 24/7 support to children, youth, and families, including crisis intervention and behaviour management.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Participate in case conferences, family meetings, and other relevant meetings to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of program policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of client progress and program activities.
Requirements
  • Diploma/Undergraduate Degree in the Social Sciences, Child and Youth Care, Social Work, or Nursing.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of related experience in a residential or community-based setting.
  • Current proof of professional registration may be required for certain diplomas or degrees.
  • Able to lift 50lbs.
  • Certification, training, and experience with crisis intervention, restrictive procedures, and behaviour management preferred.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Class 5 Drivers License and personal mode of transportation required.
