Job Summary

Wood's Homes is seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth and Family Counsellor to join our Altadore program. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality services to children, youth, and families in a structured setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain a safe and supportive environment that fosters the development of personal and social functioning for each client.
  • Participate in regular supervisory meetings, team meetings, and training sessions to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Provide therapeutic support to children, youth, and families, including attendance at case conferences, intervention strategies, and family meetings.
  • Maintain a clean and organized living space and ensure compliance with licensing requirements.
  • Assist with daily tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, and transportation of clients.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Diploma or undergraduate degree in a relevant field, such as Social Sciences, Child and Youth Care, Social Work, or Nursing, with a minimum of two to four years of related experience.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Experience working with young people is preferred.
  • Proof of professional registration may be required for certain diplomas or degrees.
  • A valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary.
