At Wood\u0027s Homes, we are committed to building good mental health and well-being for everyone in our community. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth and Family Counsellor to join our team.

Role Summary

The Youth and Family Counsellor will work closely with children, youth, and families to provide high-quality services and support. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional care and meeting the requirements of our Health and Safety Management System.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain a structured setting that fosters personal and social development for each client.
  • Participate in supervisory meetings, team meetings, and training sessions to ensure effective collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Provide therapeutic support and case management for children, youth, and families, including attendance at case conferences and involvement in intervention strategies.
  • Maintain the upkeep of the living space and ensure compliance with licensing requirements.
  • Perform various tasks associated with program functioning, including meal preparation, cleaning, and transportation of clients.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or undergraduate degree in the Social Sciences, Child and Youth Care, Social Work, Nursing, or a related field.
  • Minimum two to four years of related experience.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Experience working with young people is preferred.
  • Class 5 driver\u0027s license and own transportation are required.
