Supervisor - Combined Lab & X-ray Technologist (CLXT)

About the Role
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Combined Lab & X-ray Technologist Supervisor to lead the team at Bella Coola General Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic team, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating technical staff activities, ensuring the quality of work performed, and promoting a culture of enquiry and evidence-based practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate technical staff activities to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
- Oversee the quality of work performed, participate in recruitment and performance management, and coach and orientate team members.
- Work within the Diagnostic Accreditation Program (DAP) standards to ensure quality services to patients/clients.
- Recommend updates to policies, protocols, and procedures, compile financial and statistical reports, and resolve routine problems in both the x-ray and lab departments.
- Liaise with other departments to facilitate the provision of effective and appropriate services that meet client needs in an efficient manner.
- Perform technical duties as required.
About the Team
Bella Coola General Hospital is a 10-bed acute care hospital with a 3-bed emergency department, laboratory, diagnostic imaging services, and other specialized services. Our team is dedicated to providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively to achieve our goals.
Requirements
- Graduated from a recognized Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist/Technician program.
- Registered with a recognized provincial professional association.
- Two (2) years recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
