Job Overview
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a proficient and knowledgeable Combined Lab & X-ray Technologist (CLXT) Supervisor to oversee our dedicated team.
This role presents an exciting opportunity to lead the CLXT department at Bella Coola General Hospital. We are in search of a driven professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage the activities of technical staff.
- Ensure that high-quality services are consistently delivered to patients and clients.
- Engage in recruitment processes, performance evaluations, and the mentoring of team members.
- Collaborate with various departments to efficiently address client requirements.
- Prepare reports, troubleshoot issues, and handle inquiries.
- Execute technical tasks as necessary.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Completion of a recognized program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology.
- Registration with a relevant provincial professional association.
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and training.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to mentor, coach, and enhance the skills of staff.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational capabilities.
- Understanding of safe operational procedures and equipment usage.
- Proficiency in computer applications and relevant software.
- Physical capability to fulfill job responsibilities.
