About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Staples Canada. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and customer satisfaction in our retail stores.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies to drive sales growth and customer loyalty.
- Lead a team of sales associates to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer service.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders to drive business growth.
- Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Develop and implement sales promotions and marketing campaigns to drive sales and customer engagement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business results and improve customer experience.
- Provide coaching and development opportunities to sales associates to improve their skills and knowledge.
- Manage and control expenses to achieve budget targets.
Requirements
- 5 years of retail management experience with a proven track record of driving sales growth and customer satisfaction.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to motivate and inspire a team.
- Ability to analyze sales data and develop business strategies to drive growth.
- Excellent customer service skills to provide exceptional customer experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of retail operations.

Working Conditions
- This role works in a retail store environment involving fast-paced and some moderate physical aspects to the role in merchandising.
- This role involves walking for the majority of the day.
- We'll also ask you to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends.
