Position Overview

The role of the Construction Project Supervisor at FIRSTVIEW HOMES LTD involves overseeing various construction activities, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting 1 to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years in a supervisory role within the construction industry.
Work Environment
  • Exposure to dusty and noisy conditions.
  • Work is primarily conducted outdoors.
Job Responsibilities
  • Estimate project costs and required materials.
  • Supervise and mentor apprentices.
  • Prepare production reports and other necessary documentation.
  • Recruit and hire construction personnel.
  • Coordinate and schedule project activities.
  • Collaborate with other project supervisors or managers.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Develop strategies to meet project timelines.
  • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Recommend personnel actions as needed.
  • Order materials and supplies for projects.
  • Oversee the work of construction teams.
  • Facilitate training sessions for staff.
Supervision

Responsible for supervising a team of 5-10 individuals, including apprentices.

Work Conditions
  • Overtime may be required.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure.
