About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Supervisor to join our team at P GILL CONSTRUCTION LTD. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimating and Planning: Estimate costs and materials for construction projects, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
  • Supervision and Coordination: Oversee apprenticeship training, co-ordinate and schedule activities, and co-ordinate work activities with other project supervisors or managers.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure health and safety regulations are followed, and establish methods to meet work schedules.
  • Materials and Supplies: Requisition materials and supplies as needed, and supervise workers and projects.
  • Team Management: Recruit and hire workers, and recommend personnel actions.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Work Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in construction, with a focus on project management and supervision.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Environment: Willing to relocate, with relocation costs not covered by the employer.
Working Conditions
  • Work Setting: Outdoor work environment, with dusty, noisy, and odour-filled conditions.
  • Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, with tight deadlines and work under pressure.
