Role Overview
The People and Culture Coordinator is essential in facilitating various human resources functions, including employee relations, recruitment, compliance, cultural initiatives, and providing backup support for payroll and benefits administration. Reporting to the Manager of People and Culture, the ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and possess exceptional interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Foster a positive workplace culture by supporting employee engagement initiatives and acting as a resource for employee inquiries and concerns, ensuring a harmonious work environment.
- Champion diversity and inclusion efforts within the organization, actively promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace culture.
- Manage the complete recruitment cycle, including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, background checks, offer letters, and onboarding processes.
- Provide backup support for payroll and benefits administration, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll and addressing any inquiries.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and enhancement of HR policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with provincial regulations, promoting fairness and consistency across the organization.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate in Human Resources or a related field.
- Progress towards a CPHR designation is an asset.
- Progress towards a PCP designation is an asset.
- Experience:
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.
- At least 1 year of payroll experience.
- Essential Skills and Abilities:
- Strong discretion and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, utilizing strong communication skills to achieve positive outcomes.
- Capability to work independently while being a strong contributor in a team setting.
- Exceptional creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards.
- Represent ACSA with professionalism, demonstrating integrity, honesty, and respect in all interactions, while upholding ethical standards and fostering a culture of accountability.
Work Environment
- Standard working hours are from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.
- This position supports a hybrid work model.
Compensation: Starting salary of 58,442+
