Position Overview

The Medical Education Designer will report directly to the Director of Physician Learning, Development, and Support, with additional responsibilities to the Manager of Learning and Development. This role focuses on the creation and enhancement of interactive educational materials and curricula tailored for medical professionals.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Design and develop engaging learning experiences for medical staff.
  • Utilize instructional design principles to create impactful educational content.
  • Manage projects effectively, ensuring timely delivery of learning solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify learning needs and objectives.
  • Evaluate and incorporate current trends in instructional design and e-learning.
Qualifications

We invite applications from individuals who possess:

  • An undergraduate degree in Education, Instructional Design, or a related field.
  • A post-graduate certificate in Instructional Design or Adult Education.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience in instructional design, preferably within the healthcare sector.
  • Proficiency in Learning Management Systems and various instructional technologies.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning theories and practices.
  • Experience with multimedia production tools and e-learning software.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment.
Work Schedule

This is a permanent, full-time position requiring 75 hours of work bi-weekly.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly wage for this position is $47.01. Successful candidates may also be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental coverage, long-term disability, life insurance, and a defined benefit pension plan.
