CIS Ontario is a prestigious educational institution dedicated to fostering compassionate, curious, and connected citizens through Montessori and International Baccalaureate teachings. We are currently seeking a dedicated Classroom Assistant for our Toddler/Children's House program.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide unwavering support to young children in their social, emotional, and physical development.
  • Collaborate closely with classroom teachers to ensure the smooth execution of daily activities.
  • Supervise children attentively during various tasks, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Assist with essential childcare duties, including preparing and serving meals, providing toileting assistance, and overseeing naptime routines.
  • Create a stimulating outdoor environment for children, supervising play and engaging in age-appropriate activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and actively participate in school meetings to contribute to the overall learning community.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with staff, teachers, and parents, fostering a collaborative and supportive atmosphere.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience working with young children in a nurturing and educational setting.
  • A Montessori or Early Childhood Education certification is highly desirable.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Child Care Early Years Act and its implications for early childhood education.
  • Exceptional teamwork and collaboration skills, demonstrating a commitment to shared goals and success.
  • Unwavering professionalism and work ethic, consistently striving for excellence in all endeavors.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, adapting effectively to changing needs.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, ensuring efficient task completion and adherence to schedules.
  • Proficiency in Google Applications is an asset.
  • Valid Police Record Check and First Aid certification are essential requirements for this role.
