- Promote positive attitudes and encourage enthusiasm for language learning
- Provide each student with appropriate and positive feedback that builds confidence and strength
- Develop and maintain an equitable and inclusive learning environment
- Communicate with the classroom instructor about students' progress and concerns
- Ensure the safety of students both inside and outside the classroom
- Establish safe dismissal procedures in consultation with the classroom instructor
- Assist students, volunteers, and instructors to restore the room to its original state at the end of the class
- Complete other duties as assigned
- Candidate selection will be based on the results of an interview, experience, and qualifications
- Preference will be given to candidates who have fluency in various languages, teaching experience, and experience working with children
- Related education (degree or diploma) is an asset
