Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide support to students with diverse needs, focusing on classroom assistance and physical care. This is a temporary, 0.2 FTE position, working on Wednesdays.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with physical and educational needs
  • Assist with classroom activities, including lesson planning and implementation
  • Support students with daily living skills, such as personal care and hygiene
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
  • Two years of experience working with students with diverse needs
  • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as education or special education
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
