Job Overview

Aramark Canada is seeking a skilled Support Services Manager with expertise in Food Services, Housekeeping, and Laundry Services to oversee operations within a Healthcare Facility.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Support Services Manager will manage the food and facilities contract, ensuring financial accountability and adherence to established standards by Aramark and regulatory bodies. The role involves leading multiple service departments and fostering collaborative relationships across various teams to enhance the experience for patients, residents, visitors, and staff. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Planning, administering, and directing all activities related to food and facilities services, ensuring financial accountability and compliance with Aramark and client standards to optimize service delivery and enhance customer satisfaction.
  2. Building and maintaining strong working relationships with other departments to create a cohesive food service experience for all stakeholders.
  3. Ensuring adherence to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety protocols.
  4. Engaging with Client Management to maintain effective relationships and identify opportunities for service expansion.
  5. Providing leadership and direction to Food Service Supervisors and frontline staff, focusing on employee development, engagement, and compliance with HR policies.
  6. Overseeing staffing and training for the food service department, emphasizing food presentation, quality control, and cash management.
  7. Developing operational forecasts and explaining variances, while managing accounting functions for the component.
  8. Ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in a relevant field.
  2. Red Seal chef certification or experience managing a food operation is preferred.
  3. Experience in housekeeping or environmental services is advantageous.
  4. Proficiency in menu management, budget balancing, and operational cost management.
  5. A minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in managing operations with financial and operational responsibilities.
  6. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  7. Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients and support staff.
  8. Experience with P&L accountability and/or contract-managed services is desirable.
  9. Demonstrated management and leadership capabilities, with the ability to handle confidential information.
  10. Completion of a mandatory background check is required for all qualified candidates.
