Position Overview:
As a Healthcare Support Specialist I, your primary responsibilities will involve maintaining cleanliness and organization within the Medical Device Reprocessing Department (MDRD). You will engage in thorough manual cleaning of sterile supply storage areas, supply carts, and all case carts within the department. Your role will also include ensuring the cleanliness of the exterior surfaces of reprocessing equipment, including sterilizers, washer disinfectors, and cart washers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform manual cleaning of various medical equipment and storage areas.
- Unload instruments and sets from washer disinfectors and cart washers, transporting them to designated assembly tables.
- Maintain cleanliness of counters, shelves, drawers, bins, tables, walls, and floors.
- Transport medical devices between operating rooms and the MDRD as required.
- Execute additional related duties as assigned by supervisory staff.
Job Description:
In this role, you will be tasked with the transportation of medical supplies and equipment across different patient care areas within the healthcare facility. You will also be responsible for distributing and replenishing essential hospital supplies throughout various units, as well as cleaning equipment and patient care areas as directed by your supervisors. Additionally, you may handle the transportation of laboratory specimens, blood products, and patient documentation.
Required Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12 or an equivalent educational level.
