Job Description:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will be part of an interprofessional healthcare team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level, and AHS policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide safe, quality patient and family-centered care
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patient needs
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet patient needs
- Provide education and support to patients and families
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program
- Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA)
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a healthcare setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
