Position Overview
Location: Vancouver, Richmond Banking Centre
CWB is designed for business proprietors
Our primary goal is to be the premier full-service bank for business owners across Canada. We accomplish this by providing a proactive client experience through tailored service, specialized knowledge, and bespoke solutions, all delivered with an unmatched sense of urgency that our clients appreciate.
Key Responsibilities
Lead initiatives in business development to cultivate and oversee a diverse portfolio of commercial clients, with average loan and deposit volumes under $2MM. The successful candidate will drive the commercial client relationship and ensure the provision of comprehensive banking and financial solutions in collaboration with team members. This role requires in-depth knowledge of the bank's offerings relevant to medium-sized enterprises and a thorough understanding of the client's business to effectively serve as a proactive partner and present the most suitable banking products.
Focus Areas
- Client Experience: Deliver exceptional client interactions aligned with CWB's brand promise. Provide holistic solutions to ensure you are recognized as each client's primary financial partner.
- Sales Activation & Business Growth: Develop and execute an independent marketing strategy to meet all sales and growth objectives. Engage in independent sales activities to fulfill annual targets for loans, deposits, and cash management. Utilize negotiation skills to enhance the profitability of relationships with both new and existing clients. Actively seek leads and referrals for business partners within CWB.
- Credit Risk Management: Collaborate with the commercial credit team to apply risk assessment techniques, ensuring that appropriate measures and protocols are in place while balancing risk and reward within CWB's risk appetite.
Qualifications & Experience
A Bachelor's Degree in commerce, finance, or accounting, coupled with approximately five years of experience in commercial lending or a related field. Proven track record in developing and executing successful sales strategies in partnership with key stakeholders. Expertise in the continuous enhancement of sales processes and programs. A solid foundation in business modeling and computer skills is highly advantageous.
