Job Overview

Work Environment

The role is situated within an insurance company, focusing on maintaining and enhancing our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee, troubleshoot, and manage local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and mainframe networks.
  • Assess and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating systems.
  • Provide technical support and problem-solving assistance to network users.
  • Implement security protocols for data, software, and hardware.
  • Conduct routine network operations and maintain control records.
  • Execute data backups and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Establish local area networks and Internet connections.
  • Utilize network monitoring software to enhance server performance.
  • Modify and maintain web pages, applets, and scripts.
  • Research and apply metadata to websites, ensuring proper registration with search engines.
  • Respond to inquiries from website visitors and designers.
  • Manage web server backup and recovery tasks.
  • Supervise technical staff as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities

No direct supervision responsibilities are required for this position.

Technical Skills
  • Proficient in JavaOS, networking software, and security protocols.
  • Familiarity with extranet, Internet, servers, and desktop applications.
  • Knowledge of multimedia, presentation, and programming software.
  • Experience with HTML editing, web service design, and information technology.
  • Competence in mapping, data visualization, and database software.
  • Proficient in programming languages and software development.
  • Skilled in MS Office, MS Windows, and spreadsheet applications.
  • Familiar with social media platforms.
