Job Title: Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at The Homesteader Dining Room. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our menu items, ensuring high-quality dishes are served to our guests.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and prepare menus, taking into account seasonal ingredients and dietary restrictions
  • Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and safe food preparation
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Collaborate with our culinary team to develop new menu items and specials, incorporating fresh and local ingredients
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant environment
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and safety protocols
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
