Position Overview

The Medical Administrative Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare facility. This position involves a variety of administrative tasks that support both the clinical and operational aspects of the practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Information Management: Facilitate the flow of information within the office.
  • Patient Interaction: Conduct interviews with patients to gather essential case histories.
  • Mail Handling: Manage incoming mail and electronic communications.
  • Appointment Scheduling: Organize and confirm patient appointments efficiently.
  • Staff Training: Educate team members on office procedures and software applications.
  • Claims Processing: Complete insurance and other necessary claim forms.
  • Filing System Maintenance: Keep an organized filing system for medical records.
  • Inventory Management: Order office supplies and maintain stock levels.
  • Travel Arrangements: Coordinate travel itineraries and make necessary reservations.
  • Office Procedures: Establish and implement office routines.
  • Data Entry: Input and format medical reports and correspondence electronically.
  • Confidential Records: Initiate and maintain secure medical files.
  • Meeting Coordination: Prepare agendas and document meeting minutes.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to patients and clients.
  • Billing Management: Calculate and process billing charges and payments.
  • Clerical Support: Perform various clerical duties including filing and sorting mail.
