Position Overview

The role involves providing ongoing supervision and engagement with children, as well as planning and participating in daily activities for small groups.

Work Schedule
As determined by school administration.

Key Responsibilities Arrive on time and remain for the designated duration. Ensure constant supervision of children, never leaving them unattended. Assist children with hygiene needs when necessary. Support children with their assignments and activities. Collaborate with the site supervisor to deliver all daily services and reports. Organize planned activities as directed by the site supervisor. Aid in the distribution of snacks, supplies, and other materials. Refer serious behavioral issues to the site supervisor. Attend all relevant staff meetings and training sessions related to the afterschool program. Additional Responsibilities
Perform any other related tasks as assigned by the site supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Candidates must possess a high school diploma. The following are indicative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position: High School Diploma. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to foster positive relationships with students and their parents. Understanding of the physical, mental, and emotional development of young children. Certification in Red Cross first aid and CPR/AED. A positive attitude towards working with young children. Physical Demands
The position requires various physical activities while working with children. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will need to stand, walk, bend, run, stoop, lift, etc. The following are some of the physical demands of the job: Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Sufficient mobility to ensure student safety and participate in activities. Capacity to remain active for extended periods. Ability to hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone. Work Environment
