Role Responsibilities:
- Manage the procurement process for all designated projects from initial concept through to lump sum tender, including active participation in contract letting and planning stages.
- Play a crucial role in overseeing the management of assigned estimating staff, subcontractor and supplier relationships, and the ongoing enhancement of estimating procedures to align with the company's business objectives.
- Conduct subcontractor and supplier bid solicitation, define and clarify project scopes, evaluate risks, and submit bids.
- Supervise the tendering process and the awarding of contracts.
- Act as the primary contact and advisor for assigned projects, guiding them from initial client engagement to the handover of the project to the project team post-contract award.
- Lead Design-Build projects through the tender phase, actively participating in team meetings.
- Provide mentorship to junior team members.
- Engage in business development initiatives to identify and track potential clients and project opportunities.
- Demonstrate the ability to logically sequence construction tasks and develop project schedules.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional planning, scheduling, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in software applications such as Microsoft Office, bid management, and estimating tools.
- Professional Quantity Surveyor (PQS) designation from CIQS is advantageous.
- Experience with Procore software is a plus.
