Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Indigenous Housing and Sustainable Community Services to join our team at the Canadian Mental Health Association. This is a full-time position that will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our indigenous housing and community services programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to our indigenous clients.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the sustainability and performance of our services, ensuring compliance with cultural, contractual, local, and federal regulations.
  • Coordinate with other CMHA programs to ensure a continuum of care and seamless service delivery.
  • Communicate job expectations and responsibilities to employees, while supervising, disciplining, managing, and overseeing work systems.
  • Hire, train, motivate, and coach employees to provide attentive and efficient service to clients and residents.
  • Assist in the development and management of the program's budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Requirements
  • Related degree or diploma in Human Service or related field, or a combination of education, training, and experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in shelter management, housing management, and/or client services, including case management and advocacy.
  • 2 years of management/supervisory experience, senior management experience preferred.
  • A valid Driver's license.
  • Mental Health First Aid an asset.
