Job SummaryAs a Client Partner, Violence Prevention, you will be responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of our Violence Prevention program, including policies, work procedures, education and training, risk identification and assessment procedures, communication of risk and reporting and documenting of aggressive incidents.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the development and implementation of Violence Prevention program policies and procedures
- Develop and facilitate various Violence Prevention education programs, including risk-specific curriculums for acute care, community and residential programs
- Provide clinical leadership for the Violence Prevention program and assist departments in troubleshooting specific issues related to aggressive behavior
- Develop and implement reporting and audit systems to monitor the effectiveness of the Violence Prevention program
- Develop communication strategies to ensure the success of Violence Prevention program objectives
- Provide clinical leadership in partnership with department managers to complete Violence Risk Assessments
- Liaise with department managers, supervisors, staff and external agencies such as WorkSafe BC
• Bachelor's degree in a health-related discipline and a professional designation inclusive of specialized training in occupational health and safety from a recognized educational institution
• Three to five years' recent related progressive health and safety experience in a large complex organization
• Working knowledge of violence prevention programs
• Valid BC Driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes

• Creates the conditions for people to succeed
• Professional/Technical Capabilities:
- Demonstrated understanding of violence prevention theory and application
- Working knowledge of applicable regulations, provincial legislation, policies and procedures
- Demonstrated investigative skills
- Ability to operate related equipment including applicable software applications
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
