As a Discreet Men's Counselling Specialist, you will work closely with individuals experiencing interpersonal violence, sexual assault, or historical abuse, providing a safe and non-judgmental space for them to share their experiences.
As a key member of our trauma counselling team, you will be responsible for delivering group and individual counselling sessions, including intake and assessment, to support the healing process of those affected by trauma. Your expertise in healthy masculinity, women's issues, and interpersonal violence will enable you to provide comprehensive care and guidance to your clients.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to participate in Sources Quality Improvement process, ensuring that our services are always evolving to meet the needs of our community. You will also be expected to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in trauma counselling, incorporating evidence-based practices into your work.
To succeed in this position, you will need to possess a Master's Degree in Psychology, Counselling, or Counselling Psychology, as well as registration with BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) or Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). Experience working with Office suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Sharevision, and OWL, is also essential. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.
