Job Summary:

The Canadian Bar Association is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Section Secretary to provide administrative support to the Section leadership and committee members. This is a 2-year term position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Assist the Chair and Vice Chair in managing regular and topical Section activities throughout the program year, including coordinating meetings, events, and communications.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Assist with documentation that may be requested from time to time, such as Section Reports and attendance lists, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Committee Coordination: Assist with coordinating activities and tasks assigned by the Executive Committee, Section Committee, and/or the Section Activity Coordinator, as needed.
  • Communication and Liaison: Serve as a liaison between the Section leadership, committee members, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Other Responsibilities: Perform other duties as delegated by the Chair or Vice-Chair throughout the program year, as needed.

Requirements:

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other productivity software.
