Position: Senior Manager - Triage, AML Operations

Overview:
As a pivotal leader within the organization, you will be responsible for steering the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Operations, specifically focusing on Triage and Case Investigations. Your role is crucial in ensuring that all AML-related regulatory requirements and business strategies are effectively executed in alignment with established regulations and internal protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion a customer-centric culture within your team to enhance client relationships and utilize broader organizational resources and insights.
  • Provide both tactical and strategic guidance to AML Operations concerning the management of Automated Monitoring System (AMS) Alerts, Unusual Transaction Reports (UTRs), and assigned Referrals, ensuring that operational and reputational risks are managed effectively.
  • Facilitate the adoption of innovative AML/ATF methodologies and monitoring tools to address emerging money laundering and terrorist financing risks, while continuously analyzing operational processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Enhance communication with various business lines and branches to gather essential information and ensure timely responses to inquiries.
  • Oversee the Intake, Triage, and Case Investigations teams to guarantee that alert and case evaluations are conducted promptly and in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Assess the potential risks associated with activities reported by business units and, when necessary, evaluate the Bank's exposure to relevant clients, contributing to the development of effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of alert assessments and case investigations, documenting the rationale for determining whether activities are unusual or suspicious.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of local and pertinent international AML laws and regulations.
  • Gain proficiency in relevant case management systems, banking information systems, and analytical reporting tools.
  • Review Management Information Reports and other analytical tools, ensuring that any identified risks or productivity issues are addressed and escalated appropriately.
  • Utilize your expertise in AML systems and processes to identify and implement enhancements, addressing any deficiencies in systems or processes.

Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Experience in AML, audit, or compliance roles.
  • A proven ability to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency while adhering to compliance standards.
  • Prior leadership experience is essential.
  • ACAMS/CAMS Designation is considered an asset.

Work Arrangement: This position is currently classified as Hybrid, subject to change based on business needs.
