About the Role:

The Executive Director - Senior Living will be the heart and soul of our community, leading with purpose and passion to cultivate happiness in daily life. This pivotal role requires balancing the demands of nurturing relationships with seniors, their families, team members, and external community stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build a high-performing management team and implement a 'person-centred care philosophy' for resident care and clinical services.
  • Plan, coordinate, direct, and monitor the effectiveness of operational activities, ensuring maximum overall occupancy and revenue growth.
  • Actively utilize established standards and resources to cultivate an optimal work environment, ensuring managers and front-line team members are fully engaged in delivering the best resident experience.
  • Forge relationships with external stakeholders, ensuring seamless transitions through various stages of a resident's journey.
  • Understand and interpret various regulations governing senior healthcare to ensure compliance.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Health or Social Services.
  • 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience in long-term care, health services, or social services.
  • Proven track record of effective team management, budget management, and operational excellence.
  • Highly organized, with exceptional problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Requirements:

  • For Ontario: Must be a licensed administrator in the Province of Ontario or have completed a long-term care home administration program with a minimum of 100 hours of instruction.
  • For British Columbia: Registered with the College of Nurses of BC as a Registered Nurse.
