Position Responsibilities:
- Adhere to performance standards as defined by the regulatory body and organizational policies.
- Maintain compliance with standards set forth by the Operating Room Nurses Association of Canada (ORNAC).
- Contribute effectively to the overall surgical team dynamics.
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of recent experience in the Operating Room is essential.
- Successful completion of a recognized certificate program from an accredited institution is mandatory.
- Proven clinical proficiency in nursing practices.
- Certification in authorized medical procedures and advanced nursing skills is required.
- Completion of the CAN Certification in Perioperative Nursing is advantageous.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and CPR certifications are necessary.
- Must be a reliable and adaptable team player within a diverse work environment.
- Ability to think critically and prioritize effectively in emergency scenarios.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities complemented by excellent communication skills.
- A positive attendance and work history is essential.
