Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operating Room Nurse to join our team at Trillium Health Partners. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for assisting in the operating theatre and performing a variety of duties to ensure the smooth execution of surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the surgical team in the operating theatre, adhering to established standards and protocols.
- Perform added nursing skills as identified and approved by the nursing advisory committee.
- Primary role is to perform as the scrub nurse for surgical procedures.
- Work in compliance with Occupational Health & Safety Act.
Requirements:
- Current Registered Practical Nursing registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- A post-graduate operating room course from an approved college is required.
- Minimum 1-3 years current experience in a similar role is required.
- ORT designation is required.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- A positive work and attendance record is essential.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent walking, standing, reaching, stooping, and bending.
- Occasional/frequent lifting up to approximately 15 kg.
- Occasional pushing and pulling up to 17 kg.
