About the Role

Poppa G's Quality Meats is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Food Processing Labourer to join our team in a meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials safely and efficiently.
  • Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines, ensuring accurate quantities and quality control.
  • Manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers, maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Check products and packaging for basic quality defects, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) protocols.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas, maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Will train on the job.
  • Physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal suitability: Reliability and strong work ethic.
Work Environment

The work site environment is cold/refrigerated and wet/damp, requiring the ability to work in a variety of conditions.

  • Language: English.
  • Work term: Temporary.
  • Hours: 40 to 50 hours per week.
