Job Title: Drywall Finisher

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our team at SUMAIR DRYWALL LTD.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for applying successive coats of compound and sanding seams and joints, as well as applying, leveling, and smoothing coats of plaster. They will also clean and prepare surfaces, cut and install metal corner beads, and fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
  • Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster
  • Clean and prepare surfaces
  • Cut and install metal corner beads
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
  • Cut openings in lath for heating and ventilation piping, ducts, and electrical outlets
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience
  • Ability to work at heights
  • Ability to work in a noisy environment
  • Ability to work in various locations
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures and humidity levels. They will be required to work at heights and in a noisy environment.
