Position Overview

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Revenue Management Performance, the Regional Director of Revenue Management will undertake the following responsibilities:

Maximizing profitable revenue across multiple hotels within a designated region. This role involves the strategic alignment of revenue management, regional sales and marketing, digital marketing, and distribution teams. The Director will identify and refine processes related to these areas, while organizing and facilitating ongoing training and education focused on commercial success and business acumen, fostering a culture of Total Hotel Profit optimization. The Regional Director will also play a key role in developing internal talent, identifying future revenue management leaders, and mentoring current Directors of Revenue Management to enhance their contributions to hotel success.

Strategic Planning and Execution
  1. Collaborates with hotel revenue teams and commercial functions (Sales, Marketing, Digital) to formulate strategies aimed at maximizing revenue opportunities.
  2. Provides support during the budgeting and marketing plan development process and participates in budget review and approval at the hotel level.
  3. Identifies and shares best practices for revenue enhancement strategies across the region.
  4. Pilots and implements new functionalities available in the region, offering valuable feedback for enhancements.
  5. Identifies areas for incremental revenue through regular property visits, regional meetings, and conference calls.
  6. Recognizes new or underutilized high-potential areas for additional revenue.
Performance Analysis and Reporting
  1. Reviews monthly performance metrics and collaborates with hotels to drive incremental revenue through forecasting, action planning, pricing strategies, market mix analysis, channel management, inventory management, and upselling.
  2. Monitors key performance indicators and third-party data sources to uncover revenue opportunities.
  3. Stays informed about market changes and other factors that may impact revenue, including global, national, regional, and local political and economic conditions, local competitors, and demand generators.
  4. Ensures optimal use of all distribution channels and measures performance to achieve or exceed fair market share across GDS and OTA channels.
Leadership and Development
  1. Provides orientation and training support for new revenue management roles within the region.
  2. Mentors and develops Directors of Revenue Management, enhancing revenue management knowledge among other hotel revenue professionals.
  3. Assists in recruitment efforts for hotel Directors of Revenue Management.
  4. Offers expert guidance in evaluating the performance of revenue management positions within hotels.
  5. Enhances understanding and utilization of our CRS, PMS, reporting, BI tools, and information management systems to support informed decision-making.
Collaboration with Stakeholders
  1. Works with Revenue Management, Sales, Digital Marketing, and GRC to educate and implement all aspects of the region's distribution strategy, including reporting, channel management, pricing, market mix, and planning.
  2. Collaborates closely with property commercial teams to identify revenue management needs and develop educational resources to address those needs.
  3. Partners with the Hotel Executive Committee to cultivate a revenue management culture focused on Total Hotel Profit Optimization using the RevPRO platform, applying principles and training across all revenue-generating departments.
  4. Engages with all organizational areas to enhance Accor Brands and ensure alignment with corporate and hotel strategies.
  5. Actively participates in the broader revenue management community within the region.
  6. Collaborates with the development team on feasibility studies for new hotel projects in the region.
  7. Contributes to the creation of brand tactical campaigns to drive business during periods of need.
Qualifications and Experience
  1. A minimum of 8 years of revenue management experience across multiple hotels, preferably within multi-brand and luxury segments.
  2. A university degree, ideally in business or hospitality.
  3. A robust background in either rooms or sales.
  4. Experience with automated revenue management software.
  5. Experience in project planning and execution.
Skills and Expertise
  1. Communication: Effectively communicates both verbally and in writing, simplifying complex revenue management concepts for diverse audiences.
  2. Analytical Thinking: Demonstrates the ability to gather and organize information systematically, recognizing patterns in complex data and drawing insightful conclusions.
  3. Reading Comprehension: Understands contractual agreements and identifies areas for improvement in work-related documents.
  4. Advanced Computer Skills: Proficient in Hotel PMS, CRS, SCS, RMS, Channel Management, rate shopping, and other industry data software, with advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  5. Revenue Management Knowledge: Familiarity with total hotel revenue management concepts, processes, and strategies.
  6. Economic and Accounting Knowledge: Understanding of economic principles, accounting practices, P&L statements, operating budgets, and financial reporting.
  7. Sales and Marketing Knowledge: Knowledge of principles and methods for promoting and selling products or services.
  8. Management Knowledge: Understanding of business and management principles involved in strategic planning and resource allocation.
  9. Entrepreneurial Thinking: Ability to generate innovative ideas and creative solutions to challenges.
