As a Team Assistant, you will be instrumental in supporting the designated team in their daily operations, ensuring that patients receive timely and effective service.

By leveraging your experience in healthcare administrative support, you will play a vital role in delivering connected, accessible, and patient-focused care, backed by our collaborative team of over 8,000 healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to Care Coordinators
  • Manage new referrals and orders for services, supplies, and equipment
  • Handle and maintain confidential patient records
  • Enter, update, and manage a substantial volume of patient data in the electronic system
  • Respond to a high volume of telephone inquiries from patients, families, and service providers, directing calls as necessary
  • Offer backup support to other roles as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Grade 12 diploma
  • At least 2 years of relevant office experience
  • Proficient keyboarding and data entry skills
  • Familiarity with database software, MS Word, Excel, and other applications in a Windows environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently
  • Advanced multitasking abilities, capable of meeting performance and service objectives
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the capacity to work collaboratively and engage sensitively with patients from diverse backgrounds
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong listening abilities
  • Compliance with our mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy is required prior to employment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A college diploma in health or social services, or business/office administration
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and office administrative procedures
  • Understanding of services offered by Home and Community Care Support Services
  • Proficiency in French or another second language
