As a Team Assistant, your role will involve providing essential support to the designated team in their everyday tasks, ensuring that patients receive timely and effective customer service.

You will be part of a collaborative team comprising over 8,000 regulated healthcare professionals and other specialists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver administrative support services to Care Coordinators
  • Manage new referrals and orders for services, supplies, and equipment
  • Handle and assist in the management of confidential patient records
  • Enter, update, and maintain a substantial volume of patient data in the electronic database
  • Respond to a high volume of telephone inquiries from patients, families, and service providers, directing calls as necessary
  • Provide backup support to other roles as needed

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Grade 12 diploma
  • At least 2 years of relevant office experience
  • Proficient keyboarding and data-entry skills
  • Competent in database software, MS Word, Excel, and other applications in a Windows environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently
  • Advanced multitasking abilities, capable of meeting performance and service objectives
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and interact sensitively with patients from diverse cultural, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong listening abilities
  • Compliance with a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy is required as a condition of employment

Preferred Qualifications

  • A college diploma in health or social services, or business/office administration
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and office administrative procedures
  • Knowledge of services offered by Home and Community Care Support Services
  • Proficiency in French or another second language
