Key Responsibilities:
As a Bilingual Customer Service Coordinator, your primary duties will include:
- Proactively assisting passengers throughout the screening process.
- Clearly explaining CATSA Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to travelers in both English and French.
- Utilizing your bilingual skills to ensure effective communication with passengers during their journey.
- Providing support to individuals with special needs, including those with mobility or sensory impairments.
- Offering assistance with passenger belongings as necessary.
- Facilitating the screening process for passengers carrying sacred or spiritual items, ensuring compliance with established protocols.
- Collaborating closely with Screening Officers and Managers to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Promoting principles of diversity and inclusion while maintaining cultural awareness.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of one year of experience in a fast-paced customer service role.
- Fluency in both French and English.
- Experience working in a regulated environment under pressure.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and diplomatically.
- A strong commitment to providing empathetic and effective customer service.
- The ability to adapt to diverse customer needs and offer appropriate solutions.
- Knowledge of Accessible Transportation for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (ATPDR) and the Official Languages Act (OLA) is advantageous.
- Physical capability to assist passengers with reduced mobility and their belongings.
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Ability to obtain Transport Security Clearance and other necessary clearances.
- Open availability to work various shifts in a 24/7 environment.
