Contract Type: Full-time

Shift: Varied shifts including mornings, evenings, and weekends

Salary: $18.90 per hour

Reports To: Aquatics Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of all patrons through vigilant lifeguarding practices
  • Deliver swimming lessons in accordance with YMCA programming standards
  • Manage administrative duties related to aquatic activities
  • Support the training and oversight of volunteer staff
  • Uphold cleanliness and operational efficiency of the aquatic facility

Essential Qualifications:

  • Current First Aid and CPR certifications
  • National Lifeguard - Pool Option certification is mandatory
  • Swim Instructor certification or equivalent credentials
  • Previous experience in lifeguarding or swim instruction is advantageous
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
