Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Communications Director to join our team at Ottawa Festival Network. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communications strategies to promote our programs and events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive communications plan to engage our target audience and promote our brand.
  • Manage and maintain our website, social media, and other online platforms to ensure consistency and accuracy of our messaging.
  • Write and edit all communications materials, including press releases, media kits, and marketing collateral.
  • Develop and implement a social media strategy to increase our online presence and engagement.
  • Manage our email marketing campaigns and database to ensure effective communication with our stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with our marketing team to develop and implement marketing campaigns to promote our programs and events.
  • Provide strategic counsel to our leadership team on communications and marketing matters.
Requirements:
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in communications, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful communications strategies.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and their role in communications and marketing.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions:
  • Flexible work arrangements, including remote work options.
  • Occasional evening and weekend work required.
  • Extended periods of sitting and typing at a desk and on screen.
