About the Role

The Public Space Manager is responsible for the administration and day-to-day management of all housekeeping services at the gaming site. This role requires a strong leader who can foster a safe and efficient work environment, manage a team of supervisors and housekeepers, and ensure exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of supervisors and housekeepers, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.
  • Ensure proper inventory levels of supplies and equipment, and maintain a high level of efficiency in operations.
  • Develop and maintain a strong presence at the property, promoting a culture of excellence and professionalism.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring compliance with AGCO regulations and other applicable laws, policies, and regulations.
  • Coach, mentor, and motivate the housekeeping team to provide an exceptional guest experience.
  • Develop and implement quality control metrics for housekeeping performance, ensuring accountability and consistency.
  • Work with direct reports to set development plans, conduct performance appraisals, and evaluate progress toward goals.
  • Ensure all housekeeping team members receive excellent initial and ongoing training.
  • Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed, and attend training and meetings as required.
  • Ensure prompt and discreet notification to the leadership team of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A College Diploma or equivalent in Hospitality or a related discipline.
  • Previous management experience in a related field for five (5) or more years.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, communication, and managerial skills.
  • Working knowledge of computer software packages.
  • The ability to obtain registration as a Category 1 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.

You will need to possess:

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • The ability to motivate, train, and guide others to meet performance objectives.
  • The ability to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
Physical Demands

This role requires:

  • The ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time.
  • The ability to walk distances.
  • Occasional exposure to casino-related environmental factors, including excessive noise.
