About the Role

The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for ensuring the quality of all OSI Maritime Systems products, including incoming materials, manufacturing test inspections, and final product assemblies. This role requires a high level of autonomy and accountability, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality inspections of all incoming goods to OSI inventory, including functional product validations and analysis of production records.
  • Verify bill of materials, quality records, and certificates from suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Perform final QC inspections on all outgoing systems and hardware, including detailed objective evidence reports.
  • Create accurate inspection records and document evidence of all inspections performed within QC databases.
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing department to manage supplier defects and create Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs).
  • Identify and develop continuous improvement initiatives to improve OSI and supplier quality.
  • Lead MRB process and run cross-departmental MRB meetings to report on MRB status and conduct quarantine activities on non-conforming products and materials.

Requirements

  • Recognized university degree or technical diploma in a relevant field, with preference given to direct experience in Quality Assurance, QC Inspections, or related industries.
  • 10+ years' experience in a Quality Engineering role, QC inspection, or equivalent.
  • QMS auditor's certification to ISO 9001:2015 or similar ISO series is required.
  • High level of understanding of quality management systems auditing and quality assurance fundamentals knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work autonomously and lead cross-functional teams.
  • High level of written and verbal communication, with the ability to create accurate inspection records and document evidence of all inspections performed.
