Deafblind Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Full Time Intervenor to support people who are deafblind. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in enabling individuals to live independently and participate fully in their communities.
Key Responsibilities- Support individuals in their home and community environments, using effective communication techniques to relay information and empower them to participate in daily living activities.
- Provide personal care as required, including lifts and transfers, toileting, personal hygiene, and medication administration.
- Assist with developing and supporting individual goals and objectives, and contribute to program development.
- Ensure accurate documentation and records are maintained.
- Completion of a college diploma or certificate in the Intervenor for Deafblind Persons program, or a related human services field.
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors, as well as those with mental health conditions.
- Strong communication skills in American Sign Language (ASL) or Signed Exact English (SEE).
- A valid driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, and a clean current driver's abstract.
- A competitive wage starting at $23.03/hour.
