Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular security patrols and respond promptly to incidents during assigned shifts.
  • Exhibit outstanding customer service skills while assisting individuals in distress or requiring medical help.
  • Maintain physical fitness to perform duties that involve prolonged standing and walking.
  • Carry out various preventative and responsive tasks, including interior and exterior patrols of the facility.
  • Implement Use of Force/Restraint protocols as necessary under applicable regulations.
  • Provide escort services for staff and visitors as needed.
  • Assist with motor vehicle needs for staff and visitors.
  • Maintain accurate logs and documentation of all shift activities and service requests.
  • Prepare detailed reports following investigations or notable incidents in a timely manner.
  • Investigate incidents, manage follow-ups, and review CCTV footage as required.
  • Address rule violations and enforce compliance as necessary, including the apprehension or removal of violators.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as ID badge issuance, key management, and lost and found inquiries.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid Ontario Security Guard License.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Educational background in Police Foundations, Protection Security and Investigations, Criminology, or Border Services is advantageous.
  • Up-to-date immunization records (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and TB skin tests).
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR Level C.
  • Ability to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB).
  • Applicants without these certifications may participate in Paladin's training program prior to onboarding to meet job requirements.
