Job Duties:



  • During assigned shifts, you will conduct proactive and reactive security patrols and respond to incidents.
  • Exhibit outstanding customer service skills and engage effectively with individuals under stress or in need of medical support.
  • Physical fitness is essential, as you will be required to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Carry out a range of preventative and responsive tasks, including interior and exterior patrols of the facility.
  • Implement Use of Force/Restraint as necessary, following the appropriate guidelines.
  • Facilitate security escort services for staff and visitors upon request.
  • Provide vehicle assistance to staff and visitors as needed.
  • Maintain accurate logs and documentation of all shift activities and service calls.
  • Prepare detailed reports following investigations or notable incidents in a timely manner.
  • Investigate and follow up on incidents, including report writing and CCTV reviews.
  • Admonish individuals for rule violations and, if necessary, apprehend or remove violators from the premises.
  • Manage various office responsibilities, such as ID badge issuance and lost and found items.

Qualifications:



  • Possession of a Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
  • Fluency in English (both spoken and written).
  • A degree in Police Foundations, Protection Security and Investigations, Criminology, or Border Services is advantageous.
  • Proof of immunizations (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and TB skin tests).
  • Current First Aid and CPR Level C Certification.
  • Ability to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB).
  • Applicants without these certifications may enroll in Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to onboarding to meet the position's requirements.

Additional Information:
The UoF/MOAB training is unpaid as it is a prerequisite; however, Paladin will cover all training costs with a commitment to the position.
