General Area of Responsibility:
Responsible for the coordination of HR operation tasks related to towing business in different locations. Will also be partnering with Regional HR and other HR colleagues across the region. Overall responsible for ensuring the effective HR operation including recruiting and selection, personnel administration, payroll, and driving engagement.
Specific Areas of Responsibility:
- Recruitment and Selection:
- Manage all recruitment projects from initial requisition to final hire, providing expertise and support to hiring managers along the way to deliver high quality and on-time recruitment outcomes.
- People Performance Management:
- Drive and support the people performance management process to ensure the full cycle PPM activities are executed to the highest standard.
- Employee Engagement:
- Drive and support employee engagement activities in the operations including developing, managing, and maintaining the annual EES framework, tools, and processes.
- Crewing:
- Responsible for crewing related projects in the operations including logistics, planning, training, and compliance.
- Liaising with Operations and technical departments to ensure timely and cost-effective use of crewing resources.
- Ensure proper control of crew certificates and training records.
- Industrial Relations:
- In charge of administering and interpreting labor agreements, grievance procedures, policies, and practices.
- Ensures compliance with employment regulations and advises and counsels managers on personnel practices and employment laws.
- Address employees queries regarding office management issues (e.g. stationery, hardware, and travel arrangements).
- Payroll:
- Process payroll and payroll reconciliation.
- Ensure correct calculation of termination agreements.
- Ensure proper record keeping procedures and employee's timesheet control.
- Safety:
- Promote and assist in the implementation of safety policies.
- Assist in the control and maintenance of quality and safety management systems related to the Human Resources area.
Required/Preferred Education:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Business or related discipline.
Training and Competencies:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Human Resources position, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Previous experience in crewing function in maritime industry such as towing and offshore preferred.
- Excellent oral & written English.
- Highly IT literate; experience working with Microsoft Office and SAP HRM desirable.
- Knowledge of labor and social security legislation.
- Experience working with strategic HR processes such as cascading of objectives, performance calibration, and talent review.
- Proven track record of successfully working with crew, operators, or similar positions.
- Ability to multi-task, with an analytical and structured approach.
- Used to working in high-pressure environments, often under tight deadlines.
- High levels of safety awareness and standards as per industry requirements.
- Attentive to detail, fast and efficient, decisive, and able to stand by decisions.
- Good communication skills across multiple levels in the organization and with external and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a global business environment with a strong sense of cultural diversity.
- Flexibility to travel for short periods of time if required.
